Car 54, Where are You?

Today is my Birthday, and I have just turned 54 years old. My age is an indication that I have lived over half a century, but as I reflect on all that I have accomplished to this point, I can't help but be optimistic for the future.
If I were to speak to my 20-year-old self, I would have thought that a 54-year-old man was very old and close to retirement. Today, I am having that conversation with myself and thinking about how young I feel and how much more I still want to do.
As I move into the second half of my life, I see that the younger me was primarily focused on financial success and acquiring things. I don't look at my past as wrong or right it was just my focus at the time. Currently, I have a new focus, and one that I have been developing since my early 40s, it was and continues to be refining my purpose in this life. To be of service to myself first and then to others. Yes, first focus on what you need, not what others expect or want from you. Trust me here, the sooner you learn to be independent of the thoughts of others, the easier it is for you to maintain your direction in life.
This thinking is antithetical to the way you were raised or trained because it does not meet with social norms. These social norms may be religious or based on a scholastic principle but they were designed to support society, not the individual.
Time and experience have shown me that the more you try to look outside of yourself for approval, the farther you get from feeling worthy. It starts with you feeling worthy and then it moves you knowing. Knowing that you are a wonderful creation and that you are here to create and experience everything or anything that you can imagine.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution."

Albert Einstein - Theoretical physicist

My journey started more than 15 years ago, and I have been able to live my life to the fullest and that was something I could not have imagined in my 20s. And I know there is more to come. I just know it.
Why did I reference Car 54, where are you? It was a comedy back before I was alive (1961 - 63), but it stared Fred Gwynne, a great comedic actor and also of The Munsters fame. In my opinion, life should be full of fun and misadventure otherwise, what are we here for?
